Honoring the Life and Legacy of
Denise Angela Fitzgerald
Obituary
Denise Angela Fitzgerald (Hardy), loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, went to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 3rd, 2022, in Show Low, Arizona, at the age of 69. Denise spent 40 years battling renal disease and ultimately passed away from coronavirus pneumonia. During her last days, her children surrounded and prayed over her.
Denise was born to Warren Sr. and Marlene Hardy on June 20th, 1952, in Long Beach, California. She graduated from Excelsior High School in Norwalk, California, and earned her Associate’s degree at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California. Denise and her young family moved to Lakeside, AZ, in 1992. The White Mountains is where she dedicated her life to raising her three children. In addition, she spent 21 years as a customer service clerk for a local grocery store. Denise was an extremely talented quilter and seamstress and enjoyed sharing her gift of quilting with her loved ones. She especially loved wrapping her grandchildren in her quilts and telling them how much she loved them. You could find Denise tending to her flower garden on warm sunny days. She attended a non-denominational Christian church and loved listening to Christian music.
Denise joins her father, Warren Sr., in Heaven. She is survived by her mother, Marlene, her brother Warren Jr., her two sons, Devin and Kyle, her daughter, Caitlin, and her five grandchildren, Claire, Emily, Natalie, Liam, and Riley. Denise will be greatly missed by all who knew her warm heart and caring spirit.

In Lieu Of Flowers Please Consider Donating To: American Kidney Fund
Denise fought kidney disease for nearly 40 years and her daughter and son are both diagnosed with the same genetic kidney disease. This foundation will help others fighting this devastating illness in all fronts; prevention, pre and post transplant, and research. Finding a cure for Mucin-1 is near and dear to our family. Thank you for your consideration.
This amazing woman had made such a huge impact in my life, in the short amount of time I was lucky enough to know her. She taught me a lot of little things when I lived with her. I can’t drain pasta without thinking of her, or water my house plants. After my mother died and I had my son, she was biggest fan on facebook. There wasn’t a week that went by that I didn’t have a supportive comment or likes on all my posts. Whether she knew it or not she was a major support system in my life these last few years. I was always looking forward to what she would say next. To the Fitzgerald Family I am extremely sorry for your loss, my deepest condolences and you are all in my prayers.
We love you all and so sorry for your loss.
Thank you for being my sister-in-law and more importantly my Friend. The picture is Denise and the kids Great Grandma, Virda in 1988.
